Development Journey

Our journey towards sustainable economic development began in 1971 under the visionary leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He championed peace and humanitarian efforts, laying the foundations for a promising future dedicated to enhancing the well-being of communities worldwide. His approach positioned the UAE as a global hub for supporting sustainable development. What was once a dream became a reality when the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) began financing strategic projects in key sectors, boosting economic development and enhancing prosperity in developing countries. Driven by boundless ambition, we continued to make steady progress guided by the vision of our leadership. We opened new opportunities for the growth of our national economy and the promotion of Emirati exports globally.
